Work Experience

Prior to joining Guru Ghasidas Viswavidyalaya, Dr. Nayak was working as a faculty member in Department of Economics in Ravenshaw University, Cuttack. He has got over twenty years of teaching and research experience. He has contributed over forty papers to national and international seminars, authored/edited two books and published over thirty articles in refereed journals and edited books. During the stint in Ravenshaw he assisted the university administration in various committees. Apart from his academic interest he is actively engaged in a number of social work activities dedicated for education and rural development.

Area of Specialization

Research Specialisation-Federal Finance, Economics of Social Sector and Infrastructure, Agricultural Economics. Teaching specialization- Microeconomics, Mathematical Economics, and Econometrics.

Projects & Patents

Climate change, agrarian issues and adaptation strategies in Odisha: Issues and Policy Responses. Funding Rs 10 lakhs by World Bank assisted CoE-OHEPEE (Co-PI).

Coordinator * Establishment of Ravenshaw Journal of Economics- Acted as Associate Editor, later on Executive Editor * Regular conduct of PG seminar- Acted as Seminar Advisor * Establishment of Swami Vivekananda Loka Sansad having pan-Odisha presence- Acted as the founder General Secretary at its inception in 2012. * Guided five Ph.D, nine M.Phil and 31 masters dissertation.
